We have a reservation for Crystal Palace at 8:55 PM and the park closes at 9 PM. It is not an extended hours event night. How would we get back to our hotel since dining is 90 minutes and the transportation closes an hour after park close?

    Hi MacKenzie!

Your Walt Disney World Resort vacation is right around the corner - I'm sure you're getting excited about all the magical memories you're about to make.

Dining at The Crystal Palace in Magic Kingdom Park with some of your favorite friends from the Hundred Acre Wood as the park closes around you is such a unique experience. You're smart to think about logistics for after your meal, especially with the park closing at 9 PM.

Here's some good news: Walt Disney World Resort is very accommodating when it comes to transportation after late dining reservations. Even though official park transportation typically stops running about an hour after park closing, Disney ensures that guests with late dining reservations can still get back to their Walt Disney World Resort Hotels.

After your delicious dinner with Pooh and his pals, you'll find that Disney buses, the Walt Disney World Monorail, and water transportation options (depending on your hotel's location) continue to operate until the last guest leaves. This includes guests dining at in-park restaurants after hours. So, rest assured, there will be a "carriage" ready to whisk you back to your resort.

If you're staying at a resort connected by the monorail or water transportation, like Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa, Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, or Disney's Contemporary Resort, these typically run a bit longer after the park closes to accommodate guests. For those using bus services, there are often buses labeled "Any Resort" later in the evening, which can take you to your resort.

It's always a good idea to chat with a Cast Member at the Crystal Palace before or after your meal to let them know your transportation needs. They'll provide the most up-to-date information on your transportation options back to your hotel. Just a little faith, trust, and planning, and you'll be all set for a magical evening at the Magic Kingdom!
