Welcome back to planDisney, Cynthia! I'm excited to see you're planning another magical vacation to the Walt Disney World Resort! 2025 is going to be an exciting time to visit with new perks like the
complimentary Disney Water Park admission on check-in day for guests staying at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel! Be sure to check out the details of this new perk so you can dive right into the fun as soon as you arrive!
Cynthia, the
Minnie Van Service powered by Lyft is a convenient, paid service that helps guests to get around destinations within the Walt Disney World Resort area quickly and efficiently. At this time, the service does not extend outside of the resort area, so ride transfers using this service to and from Orlando International Airport are not available. Hakuna Matata, though, Cindy (it means no worries!), I'd be happy to offer you a few
other options to help you plan ahead for your connection to the airport when it's time to say
see ya real soon to the Most Magical Place on Earth!
Since you mentioned having a car rental at the beginning of your vacation, it may be worth extending your rental and returning it directly to the airport on your departure day. This would assure you have your own personal transportation to the airport and might keep you from taking time out of your vacation at another point to return the rental earlier. With
complimentary self-parking at your Disney Resort hotel and at each of the theme parks, you won't have to worry about extra costs associated with having a vehicle on-site at Walt Disney World.
While the Minnie Van Service is not available, standard rideshare services are also an option for your airport transfer. You can schedule an Uber or Lyft to pick you up from your Disney Resort hotel and bring you directly to the airport.
One final option is to look into shuttle services. My family has personally used Mears Connect for both round-trip and one-way airport transfers; I like being able to schedule and pay in advance and knowing exactly when the shuttle will arrive. On our most recent use, we received a text message tracking our shuttle along with the driver's information so we would know exactly when to expect him. This also works well if you're traveling with a larger group because everyone can stay together!
Cynthia, I hope this helps! It's always a sad day when we have to say goodbye to all our friends at Disney, but having a plan for that stage of the journey helps to make the day run a little smoother! If you have any other questions before your visit, come on back to
planDisney and let us know! We're always ready to share the magic with you!
Magic and Memories,
Alison
