Greetings, Debbie!
Welcome to planDisney. Hooray! I am so thrilled to hear that you have officially booked a visit to Walt Disney World Resort. I am sure there is a lot on your magical to-do list before you arrive, so let's go over everything you need to know about travel documents and reservation confirmations before you arrive!
When you book a
Walt Disney World Resort vacation package or hotel accommodations, you should receive an email with a confirmation number. You will enter this number in your My Disney Experience account to link your booking. Traditionally, you will not receive a physical document confirming the booking unless requested. If you have not created your account yet, Hakuna Matata.
Setting up an account is easy, and only takes a few moments. Once your account is set up, you can
link your upcoming plans with the confirmation number located in the email. If you did not receive an email with your upcoming travel plan details, I recommend reaching out to a friendly Cast Member with
Disney Resort Hotel Reservations by phone. They will be able to assist you with retrieving your reservation details and help you get them linked to your My Disney Experience account.
When it comes to travel documents, you will find most are digital and will be sent to the email address you used when you booked your visit. This includes tickets, hotel reservations, vacation packages, and even dining reservations. There are some documents that may apply to your trip, including a booklet about included
Magical Extras and Key to the World Cards (if you will not be using a
MagicBand or
Disney MagicMobile Service). These will be picked up at your resort hotel, and are ordinarily no longer mailed to Guests. When you check out there is a note that states travel documents will be mailed to your address, but this generally applies to purchases of tickets that are requested to be mailed. It is also important to note that the
official policy mentions that travel documents will not be mailed until a trip is paid in full, so if you are expecting physical documents, they may not be on their way just yet.
I hope your upcoming adventure is memorable and magical!
We'll see ya real soon!
Tammy
