Reservation at Cinderella's Royal Table @ 8:05pm. Flight lands at MCO at 4:17pm. Can we take Disney Magical Express, check into AOA, use disney transportation and make it to our dinner reservation in time?

You'll be cutting it very close, but you should be able to make it.

I usually caution guests to give yourself at least three hours from your plane's landing to arriving at your resort. Additionally, you'll need to allow 30 minutes to take the bus to the Magic Kingdom and another 15 minutes to get from the bus, through the gate, down Main Street and to the castle--and this is without stopping. You're left with barely 10 minutes to check-in.

After experiencing a similar time crunch on a recent trip with my own family, I recommend that you 1) check in online before you leave home through your MY DISNEY EXPERIENCE account at registering a credit card for incidentals so that you minimize your time at the front desk 2) tag your baggage with your Magical Express tags and resist carrying your own bags or using baggage claim 3) have a back-up plan to grab a taxi to your hotel if something at the airport goes awry or your plan is delayed and 4) have one person check any carry-on with the bellman immediately upon arrival at the resort. You can get it when you get back from the Magic Kingdom.

I've found that most table-service restaurant are generous with allowing you to show up about 15 minutes late for a reservation, but only use that cushion if your bus to the Magic Kingdom is running late.

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
