Hello! We have a reservation at Chef's Mickey at 7:20am and we are staying at the AOA. Logistically, how should we handle that? Drive to MK, park and the go to Contemporary or park at contemporary then moved the card to MK after that?

Hi, Karina! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I’m glad you stopped by!

Hooray for breakfast with the Fab 5 at Chef Mickey at Disney’s Contemporary Resort! My kids absolutely adored meeting their favorite Disney Pals all in one meal. We got the cutest pictures that day. Especially the adorable picture you can take at the restaurant entrance. Such a fun keepsake!

Karina, you are my kind of gal! Planning all the details of your trip, down to the super important travel scheduling and parking.  Here’s what I would suggest. Because time is precious during your visit to the most magical place on earth, having to move your car from the hotel to the Transportation and Ticket Center (Magic Kingdom parking) is probably not ideal, and a resort reservation will only grant you three hours of parking at the Contemporary. So, you could park at the Transportation and Ticket Center and take the Resort Monorail to Disney’s Contemporary Resort for your Chef Mickey reservation, avoiding having to re-park your car. Be sure to give yourself a good 90 minutes of travel time to do this. Another option would be to take the complimentary resort bus transportation to Magic Kingdom, and either walk to Contemporary or take the monorail there. This will probably be the quickest way to get there, but if you wish to have your car with you, then I’d go with the option to park at TTC and monorail it to the restaurant.

Be sure to use the great navigation tool on your My Disney Experience mobile app. I use it often for time planning and turn-by-turn directions when I’m touring the parks.

I hope this helped answer your question. Be sure to come back and visit us again soon. Have a magical day!
