Hi Stephanie,
Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I can image the excitement on your little one's face when meeting Mickey and Minnie Mouse and the gang at Chef Mickey's!
I do suggest that you continue to try to make a reservation for three people. If you have not done so already, call and speak to someone in Disney Dining at 407-939-1947. I have also had to make changes to dining reservations. Although it has not always been easy, I have been able to make modifications. Keep trying until the day of your reservation. If you are unable to change the reservation, I would check with the restaurant on the day of your planned dining experience. I would also suggest that your fiancé creates a My Disney Experience Account and tries to make a reservation for one guest around the same time as your reservation for two guests. In the past, we made separate reservations and asked to be seated together at the restaurant. Fortunately, the cast members were able to accommodate the request. In the meantime, keep the reservation that you do have!
Chef Mickey's is one of our favorite
character dining experiences! If you are not staying at
Disney's Contemporary Resort, I would arrive a few minutes early so that you can explore the resort. If you are heading to dine after visiting Magic Kingdom, know that you can take the resort monorail or walk. For us, the walk has been no more than 10 minutes. If you are planning to head back to Magic Kingdom after dining, know that the resort monorail makes several stops on the way, so plan accordingly.
Stephanie, I am sending a little extra pixie dust your way trusting that you will be able to modify that reservation!
Magic, memories and Minnie Mouse hugs,
Donyell
