I have an 8:25am reservation at Chef Mickey’s in May. Is it possible to park at Magic Kingdom and get the monorail to Contemporary Resort for a reservation at this time?

    Hi James,

Welcome to planDisney! Thank you for visiting us today with your question about your upcoming trip to the Most Magical Place on Earth. I love helping fellow Guests plan a perfect holiday to Walt Disney World, and it's extra special when they happen to be a fellow Brit! It looks like you will be walking right down the middle of Main Street, U.S.A. in just a couple of weeks!

My family love to visit Chef Mickey's at Disney's Contemporary Resort on every visit! It has a great variety of food, including endless Mickey waffles! Plus, it's great for kids (and the kids at heart!) to interact with the characters. James the Magic Kingdom car park opens 60 minutes before Early Theme Park Entry, so you can expect the car park to open around 07:30 on the dates of your visit. And great news, the Monorail will begin operating at 07:00. Please note, operating schedules can be subject to change.

Did you know, Disney's Contemporary Resort is also only a short walk from Magic Kingdom, so you will also have that as an option going to and from your dining reservation, Whilst in the Contemporary Resort lobby, definitely checkout the murials created by Disney Legend Mary Blair, and look out for the infamous five legged goat!

I hope this answers your question, James! I hope you have the BEST holiday at Walt Disney World! If you have any further vacation planning questions, please reach out to me. I'd love to help!

    Have a magical day,
    Matt
