Hi, there!
Amanda, are you super excited to visit the Walt Disney World Resort this
holiday season? You're sure to have a very merry stay!
I'm so happy to hear you have a reservation at
Chef Mickey's. My family has a tradition of saying "hello" to Mickey Mouse at this classic Character Dining Experience on the first day of our vacation. We've made many magical memories there! We were staying at Disney's Art of Animation Resort during our last visit to Chef Mickey's, so it's my pleasure to tell you how we got to our reservation. We took a bus from our Resort hotel to Magic Kingdom Park and then walked to Disney's Contemporary Resort. The walk took us about 15 minutes (which was a bit longer than we anticipated) because we had to walk around the entire bus depot to get to the path between Magic Kingdom Park and Disney's Contemporary Resort. If you'd prefer not to walk, you can hop on the
Resort Monorail line. Disney's Contemporary Resort is the first stop on the monorail line from Magic Kingdom Park, but depending on the next arriving train, that leg of your trip could still take up to 15 minutes. A good rule of thumb is to allow 60-75 minutes travel time when using various modes of transportation at the Walt Disney World Resort. In my family's experience, a meal at Chef Mickey's takes an hour from the time we're seated until we're walking out. Be sure to take an autograph book and marker or pen to your reservation. My kids just love taking home the unique signatures of the "Fab Five!"
Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Amanda. Please let me know if you have any other questions!
