Can I make a reservation for 2 if it's only me going? When I check for 1 person I never see availability on the restaurants I want, compared with if I am looking for a party of 2 tables are available.

Hiya Leigh - welcome to planDisney!

Thanks so much for stopping by with your question for us. We love to help Guests just like you plan your very own, very magical, Walt Disney World Resort vacations!

Solo trips to Walt Disney World Resort, or just to one of the amazing restaurants, can be just as magical as going with a big group! Just because you're flying solo doesn't mean that you should miss out on some of the delicious restaurants available.

Leigh, you will find that most restaurants will only accept reservations for a minimum of two Guests, but you have a couple of options. First, you can make a reservation for two online or in the My Disney Experience Mobile App and then call and speak to a Cast Member to have it modified to be for only one Guest. You could also call and make a reservation for one Guest over the phone.

That being said, most dining locations won't mind if you show up solo for a reservation that was made for two Guests. There aren't tables for one, so it's not like you'd be taking a table that another party needs. As a courtesy, I would recommend stopping by the restaurant before your reservation to let them know that another Guest will not be joining you.

One exception would be any dining experiences that require pre-payment, such as Cinderella's Royal Table at Magic Kingdom Park, or dinner shows like Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground. If you'd like to experience one of these options, I recommend calling and speaking with a Cast Member to get those reservations made. If you make a reservation for two at one of these venues, you may be required to pay for two Guests and we wouldn't want that!

If you're dining solo, you may also want to check out the various lounges available, both standalone and attached to some of the most popular restaurants. While some lounges do take reservations, most offer walk-up availability, and it's usually much easier to find a spot for one Guest. Enchanted Rose at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa is one such spot with amazing food and drinks!

I hope this information is helpful, Leigh - stop by any time with more questions!
