    How can I get a reservation for character dining? Do we have to stay in a WD resort?

    Hi Krystal!

    Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I am thrilled to receive your great question about Walt Disney World Resort character dining!

    Krystal, you will be happy to know that you do not need to stay in a Walt Disney World Resort hotel to experience Disney character dining! All Guests, even those not staying at a Disney Resort hotel, can make reservations for Disney character dining.

    You can make and manage reservations online with My Disney Experience. You can also call (407) WDW-DINE or (407) 939-3463. Online reservation availability typically begins each day at approximately 5:45 a.m. ET. The Disney Dining Reservation Center is available by phone from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Monday-Friday, and 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on the weekends.

    You can start making advance dining reservations up to 180 days in advance of your vacation. I highly recommend you start making advance dining reservations as soon as your reservation “window” opens. Character dining is especially popular and the earlier you make reservations, the more likely you are to grab a reservation for the character dining experience you are most excited to try!
