Hi there! If I make a reservation for character dining, is it possible to add or remove people from the reservation without losing my current reservation? Also, do I need to include infants who will not be old enough to use a high chair in my numbers?

    Hey Hannah!

Thank you for stopping by planDisney. Plans can always change, especially when traveling with kiddos, so I think it’s great that you are ready to be flexible. I’d be happy to help clarify this for you!

You can modify your dining reservation easily in the Disneyland mobile app. Here’s how:
    1. Access the main menu by clicking the (≡) button.
    2. Tap “Future Plans.”
    3. Tap on your dining reservation.
    4. Tap “Modify.”
    5. Tap “Edit” to the right of the party size to update the number of guests.
Hannah, before you modify your reservation, it’s important to note that changing your party size could result in your current reservation time being unavailable. If this occurs, the app will provide you with available times based on your new party size. If you add any Guests to your count, you will surely need to have an accurate party size on your reservation.

However, reducing the number of Guests on a reservation is often easier. To avoid any changes to your reservation time, you can simply adjust the party size when you check in on the day of your reservation within the mobile app. If you prefer human interaction for this scenario, you can always inform the Cast Member at the restaurant that you have a smaller party.

While your little ones may not need a high chair, they will need to be included in the total party size of the reservation. This allows Cast Members to ensure there is enough space available for your family to enjoy the experience. With Character Dining, you will not be asked to pay for your infant to sit at the table with the family!

Hannah, I hope this helps and that you all have the most magical time during your upcoming adventure to the Disneyland Resort as the 70th Anniversary celebration continues. If you have any additional questions, please feel free to visit us again here at planDisney!

Sending you faith, trust, and pixie dust,
