    Do you have to have a reservation to do a character dining? Or can we just go in to eat.

    Hi Mary!

    Unfortunately, you really do need an Advanced Dining Reservation (ADR)!  That's true, actually, for most of the Table Service restaurants in the parks.  Many of them will not take "walk ups", especially during the busier times of the year.  Table Service restaurants in resorts, but not the most popular ones, are easier to get in to at the last minute. 

    I definitely recommend making ADRs before your trip.  ADRs can be made by calling (407) WDW-DINE.
