    hi, i would like to make my reservation for character dining, but its asking for my credit card is there a way to put it on my deluxe dining plan?

    Hi Steven.

    Thanks for visiting the Moms Panel with your great question.

    Character Dining Reservations always require a credit card with which to simply guarantee your reservation. Upon processing of the reservation, you'll also see the cancellation policies (usually 24 hour cancellation policy or $10 per person charged) and other important information as the reservation is made and confirmed.

    Your card won't actually be charged anything, unless you fail to show for the reservation or cancel less than 24 hours prior to the reservation itself. Upon arrival at your actual reservation, the Cast Member serving you will ask you if you are going to be using a Disney Dining Plan and you'll present your Key to the World card at that time.

    An exception to this would be Dinner Shows such as Hoop-Dee-Doo or Disney's Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show, which require payment up front, or association of your Disney Dining Plan through your reservation at the time of booking. If you are unsure of how to connect your Dining Plan for a Dinner Show reservation, call Disney Dining Reservations at 407-WDW-DINE and a Cast Member will be pleased to assist you in the proper processing of your exciting evening's plans.

    It's always a great idea to sign in through your Walt Disney World Reservation when making your dining arrangements so that your dining will become associated with your account and you'll be able to print off all of your reservations before you leave home.
