Hi Victor! Welcome to planDisney!
Thank you for trusting us with your great question about dining with a large group at the Happiest Place on Earth! Sounds like you have some very special times ahead! Oh boy!
There are a few
Character Dining experiences currently at the Disneyland Resort, including some seasonal specials(!), and all are magical! Be aware that
Minnie & Friends at Plaza Inn is located inside Disneyland Park (with views of Sleeping Beauty Castle), so a theme park ticket is required only for this delightful breakfast.
My family's favorite Character Dining is
Goofy's Kitchen - located at the nostalgic Disneyland Hotel. We have the time of our lives swinging those napkins around and eating soft-serve ice cream (yogurt) for breakfast! We also always have to try Goofy's Famous Peanut Butter Pizza!
Currently several dining locations at the Disneyland Resort have a maximum party limit of 10, sometimes 8, but don't let this news discourage you! My extended family (of 14!) also had our hearts set on character dining experiences at Disneyland Resort, and we made it happen. What you'll need to do, Victor, is make two (or three!) separate dining reservations, from different
Disney Accounts. Recruit another member of your party (or two!) to help make reservations for the same date and time. Then, at check-in for your dining reservation, let the host know that your groups are together. Cast Members may not be able to seat everyone at the same table but will do their very best to accommodate your group so you're sitting close!
But to answer your specific question, Victor, dining reservations may be made on the
Disneyland app or on the
Disneyland website. My recommendation for making large group dining reservations is for you and the other "reservation helpers" to be logged into your accounts on the Disneyland website a few minutes before 6am PST, exactly 60 days out from the date you're wanting to visit - and make a wish! I suggest though, before your dining reservation booking window opens, you take a quick look at the character dining location you're hoping to experience and see if there is availability for groups of 8 or 10. This will help you know what to expect when it's time for you to make your reservations (and how many helpers you need).
Victor, I hope this has been helpful for you in your planning, and that you and your party have so much fun immersed in the Disneyland magic. If you have any other questions or perhaps would like some tips on visiting Disneyland with a large group, don't hesitate to
reach out to us again anytime. We're happy to help!
Cheers,
McCayla
