how can i make a reservation for character breakfast at aulani for a group of 15 at 12:01am?

    Aloha, Bonnie!

Welcome Home and welcome to planDisney! Mahalo for stopping by and asking your wonderful question about dining reservations.  Bonnie, Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa is one of my favorite Disney Vacation Club Resorts. See where the line where the sky meets the sea? It calls, me Bonnie because few things are as breathtaking as a Hawaiian sunset over the horizon.  We loved everything about Aulani, especially the Character Breakfast at Makahiki - The Bounty of the Islands restaurant.

Bonnie, reservations for all dining, including at Makahiki open 30 days in advance of the date you are hoping to book. Unfortunately, the restaurant doesn't have the capacity to seat a table of 15 together.  However, what they can do is set up two tables of eight.  You can request at the time of reservation to have the two tables be seated near each other and they will do their best to accommodate it but can't guarantee it.

Now, you can book online beginning at 12:01 a.m. 30 days in advance. But the online reservations have a maximum of seven per table. In order to book eight per table (or in your case one table with eight), you need to call the dining reservation number between 9:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. Pacific Time for that reservation.

You could make the reservation for two tables of seven online at 12:01 a.m. 30 days in advance. Then, call first thing when the dining desk opens and ask them to make one of those tables of seven an eight and put in your request to have them near each other.  This way, you would be sure of having two larger tables booked and then can ask them to modify the reservation over the phone and notify them that you are one party.

I hope this helps you, Bonnie!  I hope you have an amazing time at Aulani and enjoy the spirit of Aloha with the magic of Disney sprinkled in.  There's no place you'll rather be!  If you have any further questions about Aulani, stop back and see me and I'll be so happy to help you.

    Aloha,
    Keri
