When can I make a reservation for a carriage ride @POR for our vacation this Xmas and when are the times posted for ride times? Is there a big difference b/t wilderness wagon ride and the POR carriage ride? Is one better than the other? Thanks:)

    Hi Connie,

There are two carriage rides which are available at Walt Disney World all year round, weather permitting.

1/ Disney's Port Orleans Resort which offers a 25-30 minute scenic tour along the Sassagoula river and through the resort. The carriage holds up to 4 adults or 2 adults and 3 small children. The first ride takes place at 6.00pm and the last departs at 9.30pm. You can find the carriage in front of Boatwright's Dining Hall at Port Orleans Riverside. Rides cost $45 and tickets must be purchased with cash or room charge, no credit cards are accepted. You can book rides in advance by calling 407-WDW-PLAY or make same-day reservations at the Riverside Marina.

2/ Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort which allows you to explore the vast and scenic resort grounds. There are two sizes of carriages here; the smaller holds 2 adults and 1 small child while the larger holds 4 adults or 2 adults and 3 small children. The 25-30 minute ride has the same times and prices as the carriage ride offered at Disney's Port Orleans Resort. At this location, you can find the carriage in front of Crockett's Tavern at Pioneer Hall. Walk-ups are accepted if the carriage has not been booked already.

Wishing you a magical trip filled with memories which will last a lifetime!
