Hi Cameron!
Welcome to planDisney! One of my favorite things about Disneyland Park is all the nostalgia packed into every corner. You can easily picture Walt himself taking a walk down Main Street and dreaming up all of the magic we get to experience every time we are in the park.
One of the best spots to soak this all in is
Carnation Café, nestled into a quiet corner right on Main Street. It offers a great respite from the park hustle and bustle while you watch your fellow Guests wander their way to Sleeping Beauty Castle. I can see why this in on your must-do list for your visit next week!
Dining reservations can be made as early as 60 days ahead of your park day, but I took a peek and can see that Carnation Café is already booked for February 10th. While there is no guarantee, I do have some tips and tricks to share when looking to secure a hard to get dining reservation!
First and foremost, keep checking. Guests are always changing their plans and making and canceling reservations, especially as their park day approaches. As you get closer to February 10th, I would set an alert for yourself to check a few times a day and even on your park day itself. Guests can cancel their reservation at Carnation Café up to two hours prior, so there is a chance availability will open up.
Second, it never hurts to ask a Cast Member if there is any day-of availability. When you arrive at the park in the morning, stop by and ask the host. It opens at 8:00 AM on your park day, and it will only take you a minute off your path on your way down Main Street.
Third, head into the Disneyland app and see if there is availability through the
Mobile Dine Walk Up List. Tap the "+" in the bottom navigation bar and select "Check Dining Availability". Once you enter your party size, you will see a button pop up along the bottom that says "Join a Walk-up List". Here, you will be able to see any dining locations that have immediate availability! While not a guarantee, sometimes you get lucky and can grab a hard-to-get reservation.
Cameron, I truly hope this was helpful. I am going to think positive that a reservation at Carnation Café opens up, and you are dining on fried pickles and Walt's Chili in no time. While you are enjoying your view of Main Street, tap into the nostalgia and look up at the windows. You will find nods to Disney legends at every turn!
