I have an 8.30 am reservation at Cape May for breakfast. I’m staying at the French quarter. What is the best way to get to the restaurant ?

Hello there! Welcome to planDisney, Catherine!

Oh my goodness, I am so excited to hear you’ll be enjoying breakfast at Cape May Cafe. If you ask me, a delicious breakfast is one of the highlights of any vacation, but that goes double when talking about a Walt Disney World vacation, given how important it is to be fueled up and energized for your day of fun in the parks! Cape May Cafe is one of my favorite spots, so I just know you will love it. Make sure you try the Salted Caramel "Beach Buns"! The vanilla cream is incredible.

Now, to get to Disney's Beach Club Resort from Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter for your reservation using the complimentary Disney Transportation, you will first need to make a connection at one of the theme parks. I recommend taking the bus from your resort to Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Then, you can jump on the Disney Skyliner to enjoy the incredible views as you soar over to International Gateway at EPCOT. From there, it’s just a quick five-minute walk to Cape May Cafe. Now, while this is the most cost-effective way to go, it may take a bit of time. So, I would recommend leaving yourself at least an hour to get there, should you travel this way. Better safe than sorry, I always say!

If you’d like to get there a bit faster, I suggest using a ride-share service, like Lyft, to take you right from your resort to your breakfast reservation. While there is a cost associated with using these services, it’s just a quick 10-minute drive and will certainly be the most convenient way to get there.

Catherine, I am so excited for you to visit Walt Disney World. You will have such an amazing time, especially since you will be visiting during The Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary Celebration! Please visit us again soon with any other questions you may have!

    Until next time,
