Hiya Erin!
Thank you so much for stopping by planDisney with your cancellation question. I’m sorry to hear that you may need to change or cancel your
Disney World Resort reservation. Plans can certainly change, so I’m sending a little pixie dust your way and hoping another Disney vacation is on the horizon soon!
So, Erin, let’s jump right into your question. For a room-only reservation, you must provide notice of cancellation at least 8 days before your scheduled arrival. You can usually manage this right through the
My Disney Experience app by selecting your Disney Resort hotel reservation and looking for the option to modify or cancel your reservation.
If you are unable to make the change online, you can also
reach out to a helpful Cast Member for assistance. Just keep in mind that if you are hoping to modify your reservation instead of canceling it, any changes will be subject to availability.
If you have a vacation package, the cancellation policy works a little differently. Vacation packages canceled 30 days or more before your arrival are generally eligible for a refund. However, this may not include cancellation fees charged by third-party hotels or other suppliers included in your package.
Erin, I hope this helps make the process a little easier. Hopefully this is only a see ya real soon and not a goodbye to your Disney plans! If you have any additional questions as you make your arrangements, please stop by and visit us again.
See you real soon!
Christina
