I have a reservation at the Cake Bake Shop in December. I will be driving from Melbourne, FL. Where is the best place to park?

Hey There, Hi There, Ho There, Barbara!

Welcome to planDisney! We are DELIGHTED you stopped by and are honored to help you plan your upcoming trip to Disney World! Get ready for the jingling bells, twinkling lights, and that one-of-a-kind holiday sparkle that fills the air this time of year. Every corner feels like a postcard come to life, and even the drive onto Disney property gives you butterflies of pure joy. And speaking of MAGICAL stops, you’ve picked one of the dreamiest dining experiences on property—The Cake Bake Shop at Disney’s BoardWalk!

You are definitely in for such a treat (in more ways than one)! The Cake Bake Shop is truly enchanting, with sparkling chandeliers, whimsical desserts, and a storybook setting that makes you feel like you’ve stepped right into a fairytale.

So, are you ready for some MAGICAL news? I am very excited to share with you that you can park at The BoardWalk Inn for your reservation! As you approach the security gate, please let the Cast Member know that you have a dining reservation at The Cake Bake Shop. Oh, and make sure your reservation confirmation is handy on your phone to show if asked.

Once inside the resort area, you can choose self-parking or valet. Valet is dreamy if you’re dressed up for the occasion or just want to feel extra pampered, and it’s right near the main entrance, only a short, twinkly stroll from the restaurant. If you’re arriving early, please note that December can be a busy time, so aim to arrive about 15–30 minutes before your scheduled time to ensure a smooth experience. If you arrive hours ahead of time, the gate team may ask you to return closer to your scheduled time, as parking is reserved for resort guests.

Because you’re traveling from Melbourne, build in a little cushion for Orlando traffic—it tends to get merry and… slightly crazy during the holidays. After you park, take a minute to soak up the holiday vibes, with lights dancing on the water, lively boardwalk sounds, and the scent of freshly baked goods floating on the breeze. Then step into The Cake Bake Shop and prepare for the prettiest desserts you’ve ever seen. It will be like Christmas morning wrapped in buttercream and fairy dust.

If you have any additional questions, please don't hesitate to ask. We are here to help in any way!

Bon appétit and enjoy every delicious, sparkling moment!
