Hi Janci, welcome to planDisney!
When the
Disneyland Resort re-opened, a
theme park reservation system was implemented, requiring Guests to have both a theme park reservation and a valid
theme park ticket to enter the parks. While you can always try to purchase tickets at the Disneyland Resort Main Entrance Ticket Booths on the day of your visit, there is a good chance reservations might be all booked, and if that's the case, you wouldn't be able to purchase a ticket for entry to the parks on that day. I actually recommend monitoring the
Theme Park Reservation Availability Calendar to see if any reservations open up on the date and park you are hoping to attend.
With that said, I see that for your planned arrival date of October 8, 2022, reservations for one park per day tickets are all booked. However, luckily park hopper tickets still have full availability for both parks! So if you're set on visiting on October 8, 2022, I recommend you purchase your tickets now to ensure you get a reservation for that day!
AND one more thing! When purchasing tickets, you'll be given the option to add the
Disney Genie+ Service add-on. The time savings we generally get from accessing the
Lightning Lane entrances instead of having to wait in the standby lines has been huge! And as a great bonus, you also get unlimited
Disney PhotoPass Digital Downloads with the purchase of Genie+! Definitely something to consider!
See ya real soon!
