We have a reservation for breakfast at Topolino's and after breakfast we want to go to Hollywood Studios. Can I leave my car at the Riviera resort and take the skyliner to the park, or do I need to leave the resort and park in the theme park?

    Hi Tom!

Welcome to planDisney! We’re so glad you’re here.

Well, Tom, I must admit that I am more than a little jealous to hear that you’ll be dining at Topolino's Terrace – Flavors of the Riviera on your upcoming vacation. The Breakfast à la Art with Mickey & Friends is my absolute favorite breakfast in all of Walt Disney World, so I just know you’re going to LOVE it! But as much as it pains me not to be joining you for the delicious Sour Cream Waffles, I’ll just have to put my envy aside here and help get you on your way to enjoy your day at Disney’s Hollywood Studios!

While there is complimentary self-parking at Disney’s Riviera Resort for any Guests with an Advanced Dining Reservation, the maximum time allowed to park is 3 hours. So, you would not be able to park there before your breakfast reservation and leave your vehicle there for the day as you head to the park.

Your best bet may be to first park over at Disney’s Hollywood Studios and then take the Disney Skyliner over to Disney’s Riviera Resort for your breakfast. However, this depends on the time of your reservation, as parking at the theme parks only opens about 45-60 minutes before the park’s opening and the Disney Skyliner’s operating hours vary based on the park hours. So, if your reservation is bright and early, they may not be running quite yet. In that case, you will want to park at Disney’s Riviera Resort and then move your vehicle over to Disney’s Hollywood Studios once you have finished your meal.

I am just so excited for you to visit Walt Disney World, especially since you have some incredible meals planned for your vacation. You've got such an incredible adventure ahead of you, and you will be visiting during Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary Celebration, making it even more special! Of course, with so much going on, you're bound to have some questions as you continue planning your vacation, so please visit us again soon if there is anything else we can help you with!

    Have a magical day!
