    I have a reservation for my boys at 9:15 for TPL. I was told to be there @ 9(when the park opens that day). What time do they do the opening ceremony? Will we have time to see it or should I just skip it to make it for their makeover on time?

    Hi Amy!

    Your boys are going to love visiting The Pirates League! Having an early morning appointment is a great plan - that way, the boys have all day long to show off their pirate looks around the parks!

    The opening ceremony, known as the Magic Kingdom Welcome Show, happens at 8:45am on days the Magic Kingdom opens at 9:00am. You should have time to see the show and make it to The Pirates League in time for your morning reservation easily. Plan to arrive at Magic Kingdom no later than 8:30am in order to process through bag check and the ticket turnstiles before securing yourselves a great view of the train station. The show happens promptly at 8:45am and is immediately followed by Guests being allowed to enter the park officially, often slightly before 9:00am. I just attended last week myself and we were going through the gates into the park between 8:50am - 8:55am! 

    I'm not sure of the date of your visit to The Pirates League, so I wanted to be sure that you know that during the week of your visit, there are morning Extra Magic Hours at Magic Kingdom on Thursday, September 19th. The park will open at 8:00am that day and therefore the Welcome Show will happen at 7:45am.

    Once you're in the park, head straight up Main Street USA and make a left to cross into Adventureland beyond the Crystal Palace. You'll find The Pirates League on the left hand side just past the entrance to the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction.
