We have a reservation for a 2 bedroom villa at Saratoga Springs in early March. Have there been any new updates regarding which villas have been refurbished? How can we best avoid getting one of the older rooms?

    Hey Shaun!

    Welcome to planDisney!

You’re going to love your stay at the Most Magical Place on Earth! March is one of my favorite times to visit as the weather is absolutely perfect! Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa is such a wonderful resort. You’re going to love the laid back vibes inspired by the historic Saratoga Springs in New York. The close proximity to Disney Springs is a huge perk of staying here and some of my favorite dining options at the Walt Disney World Resort.

Renovations are full steam ahead at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa and are expected to be completed this Summer. The only way you could pretty much guarantee a refurbished room at the resort is to have booked a room in the Preferred Room category. Those rooms have been completed and they are currently working on the standard category rooms. They are just finishing up the Paddock building and will go on from there. If you booked in the preferred category then you are good to go! If you booked in the standard category, then I would call Member Services if you’re a Disney Vacation Club Member or call Disney Resort Hotel Reservations and request a refurbished room. Remember, requests are not guaranteed but Cast Members will do their best to accommodate all requests.

Well Shaun, you’ll be racing with the horses in no time! If anything else comes up please come back and let us know.

Remember, always believe in the Magic!
