Hi Melissa!
We are delighted to see you stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
As a guest of
Disney's Beach Club Resort, you will enjoy certain
benefits as a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel guest. In addition to early access to planning tools, Walt Disney World Resort hotel guests may retain access to the parks in the early stages of phased closure if the parks reach capacity. In the final phase of a park capacity closure, the parks may close to all additional guests. Check out this
fantastic answer from my fellow Disney Parks Moms Panelist Samantha for more information about how closures may affect Annual Passholders and guests with dining reservations.
Since the
property rules pertaining to closure state that they may temporarily close and/or restrict access to the parks at any time, we always check the
park hours to note any changes prior to and/or during out visit. We also follow the
Disney Parks Blog and other Walt Disney World Resort social media sites to access the most up-to-date information pertaining to park closure.
Be sure to download the
My Disney Experience Mobile App in case push notifications come through the app. On our last visit during the week of Christmas, we planned to spend Christmas day in Magic Kingdom. Since we know that historically, Christmas is a very busy day, we planned all but one of our advanced dining reservations in the park to minimize the risk of leaving and being unable to re-enter.
Melissa, Disney's Beach Club Resort is a gorgeous resort within walking distance to EPCOT and Disney's Hollywood Studios. On our last visit we enjoyed lunch at
Beaches & Cream Soda Shop. Although we could not wrestle up the courage, it was so much fun to watch other families get the
Kitchen Sink.
One final tip - take advantage of the
Disney Skyliner since there is a Skyliner Station at the International Gateway at EPCOT entrance. We hopped on after walking from Disney's BoardWalk Villas (just across from Disney's Beach Club Resort) and rode to a breakfast reservation at
Topolino's Terrace - Flavors of the Riviera. The ride was quick, the view spectacular, and the breakfast came with a side of giggles!
Happy Planning!
Magic and memories,
Donyell
