    1. Reservation arrival is Wednesday-when do we need to cancel (if needed due to weather) to get all of our money back? 2. What do you expect the weather to be like Thurs-Sat? 3. Do parks stay open when there is only rain?

    Greetings, Charlotte!

Wow, your Walt Disney World Resort vacation is nearly here. Hooray! It's wonderful to hear you will soon be saying hello to Mickey Mouse and enjoying a practically perfect adventure.

Depending on how you booked your vacation and whether you have a vacation package or a room-only reservation depends on the cancellation policy. For the policy and dates specific to your reservation, I recommend calling the Walt Disney World Resort for the best guidance on the matter.

As far as weather, Florida can be a bit unpredictable, but it looks like Thursday through Saturday of next week will be in the mid-to-high 80s with around a 30% chance of afternoon thunderstorms. The theme parks do stay open when it's raining and while select attractions may temporarily close with lightning or heavy rain, the storms tend to come and go fairly quickly. I love a good rain at Disney as it seems to cool the parks down and thin out the crowds just a bit.

I wish you a magical vacation, Charlotte. If there is anything else we are able to assist you with, please let us know.

Hi-ya, Pals! I'm Lauren, a wife and mother of three who's enjoyed many special occasions at Walt Disney World Resort with my family and friends. From graduations to birthdays, and even our Fairy Tale Honeymoon we’ve loved celebrating at the most Magical Place on Earth. I now have pre-teens who check wait times in the My Disney Experience App just for fun, so I look for any excuse to return "home" often and would love to help you plan a little extra Pixie Dust for your next magical adventure.
