My reservation for arrival is Oct 9. When is the earliest I can check in on line?

    Hiya, Linda!

Welcome to planDisney and thanks for stopping by with your question today.  Can you believe you're just a few weeks away from arriving at Walt Disney World Resort?  After all that planning, the wait is almost over!

As you're checking those last items off your planning to-do list, be sure to open up the My Disney Experience mobile app to verify that you're made a Disney Park Pass reservation for each day that you plan to visit a Walt Disney World theme park.  Remember, you'll need both valid admission and a theme park reservation to enter one of the four parks.  Since it's not unusual to see Disney Park Pass availability fill up as your dates get closer, I recommend double-checking that these are in place as soon as possible.  I can't think of anything worse than spending all that work to plan the perfect visit, only to find that you won't be able to enter the park once you arrive!  All you'll need to do is take a quick peek in the "Future Plans" section of the app –– as long as you see your theme park reservations listed, you're good to go!

Speaking of the My Disney Experience mobile app, it's also a great tool for accessing the online check-in feature for your visit.  By checking in ahead of time for your Disney Resorts Collection hotel stay, you can bypass the Front Desk once you arrive at your Resort. Once you receive a notification that your room is ready, you can head directly to your new home-away-from-home and unlock your room door with your MagicBand or right from the app –– it makes the whole process easy and convenient, just the way a great vacation should be!  You can complete the online check-in process as soon as your Disney Resorts Collection hotel reservation has been linked to your My Disney Experience account, so as long as you've already done that, you can go ahead and check in for your upcoming stay at any time.  To do this, simply tap "Future Plans" in the app's main menu and click the blue "Start Check-In Now" button under your reservation. After following the onscreen prompts to input your information and room preferences, you'll be all set to hit the ground running once you arrive at Walt Disney World Resort.

In addition to Disney Park Pass reservations and the online check-in system, the My Disney Experience mobile app offers tons of other features to make your vacation a breeze, so I suggest poking around in the app before you arrive to familiarize yourself with some of the options.  One of my favorites is the Mobile Food and Beverage Ordering feature that allows you to order your favorite meals and snacks from locations across Walt Disney World Resort with just a few taps (and skip the line).  You can even place your meal orders in advance, which is especially helpful if you're planning to dine at a busy time of day, like lunchtime.  By ordering early, you can lock in the time that works best for you and your family and know that your order will be ready and waiting for you when it's time to eat.  Be sure to check out this super-helpful feature during your visit!

Thanks so much for visiting planDisney, Linda.  I hope this helped to answer your question, but please feel free to drop by again if you need more information or think of anything else –– we're always here to help!
