Hiya, Mizue!
Welcome to planDisney! I can't think of a better place to celebrate on the 4th of July than at Walt Disney World Resort. Traditionally, the
skies over Magic Kingdom Park and EPCOT host impressive fireworks displays to celebrate Independence Day. Be sure to keep an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog as your trip gets closer for all of the festivities coming to The Most Magical Place on Earth during your stay.
Mizue, I completely understand your concern. While travel plans often change, having canceled flights or other not-so-magical obstacles come up at the last minute can be especially stressful. Walt Disney World vacation packages are fully refundable when plans are canceled 30 days in advance. Cancellations made 29 to 2 days prior will receive a refund minus your initial deposit, and cancelations 24 hours before or less will not be eligible for a refund.
You may be able to make changes to your vacation package (based on availability) rather than cancel if your flight is delayed or canceled. You can make last-minute changes by phone by
speaking to a friendly Cast member with Disney Resort Hotel Reservations. Change fees may apply for changes made after that 30-day mark. I strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance for situations like this that can't be helped. This is a great way to give yourself peace of mind while you continue your magical planning, and it protects your investment should things not go as expected on the day of your departure.
And while we are on the topic of reservations, I want to add a quick reminder to make your
Disney Park Pass reservations if you have not already done so. All four theme parks require a reservation in addition to a valid theme park ticket. The first week of July is a popular time to visit, and
some availability may be limited. So, don't delay. Make your Park Pass reservations today!
I hope that your upcoming adventure is memorable and magical!
We'll see ya real soon!
Tammy
