We have a reservation for Akershus for 8.30 am and have just noticed that Epcot doesn't open till 9am that day. We will be using Disney buses, but if the buses don't start till 1 hour before park opening, we might not make it. Any ideas how to get there?

    Hi Rebecca,

No worries, the Disney transportation system will be available for transporting your family to your early morning breakfast reservations at Epcot.  Although transportation to the theme parks does begin approximately 1 hour prior to theme park opening, there are special buses for transporting Guests who have early breakfast reservations prior to theme park opening.  You should stop by your Resort's front desk prior to the morning of your reservations and inquire where and when you should go to catch one of these buses.

One other thing for you to note is that you will use a separately marked entrance to access Epcot for your early morning breakfast reservations.  When you arrive to the front gates of Epcot look for signs pointing you to the correct entrance for Guests with breakfast reservations.  If it is not readily apparent to you just ask a Cast Member and they will point you in the right direction.  Personally I love being admitted to the theme parks prior to official opening and always take a moment to stop for a photo of my group before heading to our breakfast reservations.  Usually you will find PhotoPass photographers on hand to snap a few photos as well.

Thank you for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question.  Please let us know if you have any further Walt Disney World vacation planning questions, we are always hEAR to help!
