Hi Lorayne! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I'm happy to help with your vacation planning question.
How exciting that you are planning to visit the Most Magical Place on Earth this fall!
Disney's All-Star Movies Resort is a great choice for adults looking to maximize their time in the theme parks and take advantage of the
benefits of being a Walt Disney World Resort guest. The newly refurbished rooms look fabulous with updated flooring, bedding, and fixtures.
Here's the deal on reserving a package, Lorayne. When booking a
Walt Disney World Vacation Package, all guests staying in the same room must select the same ticket and corresponding options. In order to add a
Disney Dining Plan to a reservation, you must book a vacation package that includes a stay at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel and theme park tickets. If your party would like to use valid theme park tickets they already have, you would have to book a
room-only reservation at Disney's All Star Movies Resort and pay for dining as you go.
One aspect of using a Disney Dining Plan that my family values is having our meals paid for before our vacation even begins. If this appeals to you, but adding a Disney Dining Plan to your reservation is not possible, I suggest looking at
menus online, calculating what you plan to spend on meals and snacks, and purchasing a
Disney Gift Card in that amount. If you're concerned about carrying a gift card around the theme parks, consider leaving it in your in-room safe and charging all food and beverage purchases to your
MagicBand. You can stop by the front desk of your resort to pay down the charges with your Disney Gift Card.
I hope that helps with your vacation planning, Lorayne. I know you will have a wonderful visit to the Walt Disney World Resort this fall. You may even be able to catch the end of
Epcot International Food and Wine Festival! Look for exact dates to be announced later this spring.
See ya real soon!
Betsy
