Ahoy, Catherine!
Welcome aboard planDisney! Planning a Very Merrytime sailing on the Disney Destiny sounds like a fantastic idea. I can’t think of a better way to spend the holidays than exploring this ship and meeting some of your favorite Disney pals along the way!
This year is actually the first time the Destiny will experience the fun of
Very Merrytime sailings, so to be honest, we don’t know exactly what Disney has in store for this ship just yet. I’m especially curious to see how the holiday festivities might mix with the
Destiny’s Heroes and Villains theme. Perhaps we’ll see a little extra holiday flair from both sides of the story, but we’ll have to wait and see what Disney has planned.
As for Belle, my personal experiences lead me to believe you have a good chance of meeting her in her holiday-inspired dress, but I can't make any guarantees. The Disney Princesses have very busy schedules, and
their availability determines who can participate in the Royal Gathering during a particular sailing.
My crew and I have sailed on the Destiny a few times now, and Belle has been able to make time for us each time. Based on that experience, I think your chances are good that she’ll be joining the Destiny for your sailing and bringing along her beautiful red holiday dress. Of course, the final lineup and outfits are always subject to change, so you may not know who will be attending until the day of your Royal Gathering. You can also check the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app once onboard for the latest details.
I hope this helps as you decide whether the Destiny is the right ship for your Very Merrytime adventure. I’m just as curious as you are to see how the Destiny puts its own spin on the holidays, and I have a feeling Belle will fit right in with a ship that already knows a thing or two about choosing between heroes and villains!
Sea ya real soon as summer waves goodbye and autumn magic begins to shine,
Dustin
