With plenty of gorgeous weather and flowers in full bloom, spring is my favorite time to visit The Most Magical Place on Earth. My family always looks forward to the
EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival, and all the fun (and food!) it brings. Plus, we've generally experienced lower crowds this time of year, and that's always a win in my book!
Now, choosing the right time to visit with your family is always a matter of preference - because honestly, there's no "slow season" in Disney World these days! But if crowds are your main concern, here are a few things to consider.
Emmalee, the first thing you'll want to look at is (of course!) Spring Break. Easter falls at the end of March next year, so you may experience Spring Break crowds over the first two weeks of April. April also brings other popular events, like the
runDisney Springtime Surprise Weekend (April 8th-April 11th) and usually a few cheer or dance competitions (keep an eye on the ESPN Wide World of Sports
events schedule for dates, since these can pop up in May, too). These events are very popular and can sometimes lead to higher crowds in the parks.
As for May? Well, the first two weeks of May are usually my top time to visit. The weather is warm, but in my experience, the mornings and evenings are pleasantly breezy and cool. Just be aware that crowds generally increase again around Memorial Day weekend. While my family just returned from a June trip and had a
practically perfect time, I'll admit that May still holds my heart. The weather is just a bit more predictable, and the Flower & Garden Festival can't be beat!
Now, I love low crowds as much as the next person, but I've also (happily) visited Disney World during busier times, like
the holiday season. And with a little planning (and some well-timed
