Ahoy, Elizabeth!
It's always wonderful to see a fellow Marylander here at planDisney, and how exciting that you're planning a Disney Cruise Line vacation!
Elizabeth, one of the highlights of any Disney cruise is the variety of onboard activities you can enjoy at sea. Certain activities, such as
spa treatments,
beverage seminars,
select character experiences,
adult-exclusive dining, and appointments at the
Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, are available to reserve before you set sail. You can view specific offerings for your cruise when your
onboard booking window opens, which currently happens at midnight 75 days before you sail for first-time cruisers. If you're a returning Guest, your window will open between 90 and 123 days before your sailing, depending on your
Castaway Club membership level. Concierge Guests have the earliest booking window, regardless of previous cruise history, as they can book onboard activities 130 days before their departure date. To help you plan before your reservations open, you can view various onboard activities under "Our Ships" on the Disney Cruise Line website. When you click on each category, you can filter by ship to see what activities may be available during your sailing.
One onboard activity that does not require pre-booking is the fabulous Broadway-style entertainment that you'll find offered each night in the
Walt Disney Theater. Two of my favorite shows are
Disney's Believe and
The Golden Mickeys, but I honestly haven't found a show that I don't thoroughly enjoy! You can find performance times listed in your
Disney Cruise Line Navigator App once you board. Evening entertainment typically runs opposite your dining time, with a matinee showing sometimes available during days at sea.
I hope this information has been helpful, Elizabeth, and that you have the best time enjoying the magic of a Disney Cruise Line vacation! If you have any other questions, please stop by to see us again here at planDisney!
SEA ya real soon!
