Hi Vicki! Welcome to planDisney!
One of the best aspects of booking a Walt Disney World trip is the peace of mind knowing that if you are unable to go, the value that you spent on your stay will not be lost. Even though park tickets to the theme parks are nonrefundable, you will still be able to use the value toward a future ticket purchase as long as the tickets went unused.
Once the dates on your tickets have passed, you'll need to
call the Walt Disney World Resort to purchase a new ticket package for your upcoming dates. The Cast Member you speak with will be able to apply the value of your 5-day ticket to your
new ticket purchase. Unfortunately, if this ticket package costs less than the original tickets, you won't receive a refund for the difference.
I'm excited you have decided to reschedule your vacation! If you decide to travel before the end of March 2023, you'll be able to catch the
Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary Celebration. There are nighttime spectaculars, special treats, and commemorative merchandise to help celebrate this momentous occasion. There is also a special meet and greet with Mickey and Minnie at Town Square Theater at the Magic Kingdom Park! Each of them is decked out in their EARidescent costumes and makes for a great photo op.
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party is also returning for the holiday season this year. This is a special ticketed event that requires an additional ticket purchase to attend. Party dates start on November 8th and last until December 22nd on select nights. These dates sell out fast, so make sure to secure your tickets as soon as possible.
Vicki, I hope you have a magical time during your next visit!
