Hiya Jolynn,
Welcome to planDisney! I’m so sorry to hear you had to reschedule your trip. I had a similar instance recently and know how much work it can be to make all those modifications. I’m glad you will still be able to visit soon; with the new
Villain show opening at Hollywood Studios in May, it is a great time to visit!
Turning 10 is a huge milestone, and at Walt Disney World Resort, it means that your little Mouseketeer is now considered an adult for ticket purposes. Since your son will be 10, you must upgrade his ticket from a child’s to an adult’s ticket. The great news is that you may be able to do so using your
My Disney Experience mobile app. Tap the three horizontal lines in the bottom right corner of the app and select “Tickets and Passes” from the options. Find the child ticket that you will need to modify, and you should see an option to “Change Ticket.” If that is present, click it, follow the onscreen prompts, and submit payment for the price difference between the two tickets. If that isn’t available, I suggest contacting Cast Members in
Disney Resort Hotel Reservations and Tickets to determine if your ticket is eligible for modification and to assist.
I hope this was helpful, Jolynn, and that you enjoy your vacation at the Most Magical Place on Earth. Please come back and see us if you need anything else! Also, if you are staying on-site at Walt Disney World during your vacation, don’t forget to take advantage of the
free day at the water park. We did this during our most recent vacation, and it was a huge highlight!
Happy Planning,
Ashley F.
