Hi Moms! We had to reschedule our trip from August this year (2020) to April of 2021 due to the pandemic. As the extra magic hours are suspended right now, but if they resume next year, how would I organize the park reservations to reflect the most hours?

    Hi Jenica!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

This pandemic sure has thrown a wrench into all of our vacation plans. I am sorry to hear that you’ve had to reschedule your trip. My family has also had to reschedule a trip, and my kids ask every day when we are going back. I keep telling them to imagine how much fun we are going to have when we finally get back. What I’ve come to learn during all of this is that even though so many things have changed, we still have so much to look forward to!

Here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel, we are so excited to announce that the Walt Disney World Resort is almost ready for the Magic to return in just a few short days! There has been so much planning and reimagining in preparation for a safe and magical reopening. As you mentioned, Extra Magic Hours are currently suspended. Theme Park hours are also reduced. While there is no timeline for extending hours, the Cast Members are continuously reevaluating and will update hours as they can.

I understand hoping to organize your park reservations to reflect the best use of your ticket. My best suggestion would be to continue to watch for updated hours. You will be able to use the Disney Park Pass Reservation System to plan your Theme Park Days. If hours are updated, you can log in to the Disney Park Pass Reservation System to potentially rearrange your Theme Park Days based on availability. It is my understanding that you will be able to see park availability before changing an already reserved Theme Park day.

With so much to Know Before You Go, be sure to follow along and check out the Disney Parks Blog often for all of the updates to come!

I hope that when you finally get to experience the Magic, that you and your family have a magical time!
