Hi there, Jennifer!
Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question, and thank you for using us as a planning resource for an upcoming Walt Disney World vacation.
When you purchase a
Theme Park Ticket, you'll be asked to choose the dates you plan to visit. You'll be shown a calendar that shows the ticket prices per day before tax. Before you purchase your ticket, you'll be prompted to check Park Reservation Availability to make sure your desired theme park reservation is available before purchasing a ticket for those dates. (To enter a theme park, Guests will need to have a valid Theme Park Ticket and a Disney Park Pass reservation for a specific park on the specific date they'd like to visit.) You can easily check availability using the
Theme Park Availability Calendar for your selected dates. Once you've purchased your tickets and secured your
Disney Park Pass Reservations, you're good to go for the dates you've chosen!
Vacation plans can change for a number of reasons. While changing the usage date on a valid Theme Park Ticket is easily done through the
My Disney Experience app, there are no refunds or credits given if you change to dates with a lower price. Here are the steps to follow if you need to change the dates you'll be using your Theme Park Ticket:
- Open the My Disney Experience mobile app on your device, and click the icon in the lower right corner to open your personal My Disney Experience account page.
- Under "Tickets and Passes" you'll see a list of valid tickets that are linked to your account.
- Select the ticket you'd like to modify, and select the option to "Change Ticket".
- Select "Valid Ticket Dates", and you can then choose a different date for the first day of use for your ticket.
(Make sure to
check Theme Park Availability for your new dates, and secure your new
Disney Park Pass reservations!)
I hope this helps with your planning, and you'll soon be visiting The Most Magical Place on Earth! Please come back and visit us here at planDisney with any other questions you may have before your Walt Disney World Resort vacation.
