Ahoy there, Derrick, and welcome to planDisney! Glad to have you alongside with your question!
I'm sorry to hear that you're looking to reschedule your cruise! I have definitely been there before, and in fact, we've already rescheduled what was to be our most recent cruise a few times this year! Whatever the reason, sometimes a ship has to go through some rough seas before it can get to smooth sailing.
The absolute best way to reschedule your Disney Cruise Line vacation is to
call a crew member directly. This way, while you're on the phone, you can discuss all of your options! Before you call though, I'd suggest using the
Find a Cruise tool to do just that and determine a new sail date that will work for you! Whether it's the same itinerary on a different date or a completely different cruise entirely, knowing which cruise you would like to reschedule to will save you an extra phone call at the very least!
And if there's a silver lining to the weather building on the horizon, it's this: as part of
Disney Cruise Line's return to sailing, some important reservation policies have been relaxed or temporarily changed! This gives Guests like us the peace of mind we need to navigate these ever-changing seas. I know I'm especially grateful for the "
Book Your Cruise with Confidence" program and "Cruise Date Flexibility!" For any sailings on or before May 31, 2022, you can change your sail date up to 15 days prior to departure! I'm not sure when your cruise was supposed to set sail, but I know I'll be taking advantage of this policy!
I hope that helps steer you safely into port for now, Derrick. I'm very sorry that you'll have to reschedule, but I'm glad that you should be able to take advantage of some of the helpful policy changes. Here's to smoother sailing in the near future for you and your crew! Thank you again for your question, and if you think of any others as your rescheduled cruise approaches, please drop me another message in a bottle!
May your anchor be tight, your compass true, and your new countdown a short as possible!
Andrew
