Hi! We have res for the 5:15 Spirit of Aloha but I'm confused about how it works. Does the show start at 5:15 then dinner follows or will we be eating during the show? Does the whole thing last 2 hrs or is that just the show? How early should we arrive?TY!

Aloha Kevin! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

My husband and I visited Disney’s Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show a couple of years ago and we really enjoyed ourselves! I felt that being seated in an open air theater made me feel that I was at an authentic luau. I loved that we were treated to Hawaiian dancers and the fire performer took my breath away! The food was served on platters, family style; and it was plentiful.

The show is approximately two hours long and does start at the scheduled time; I have found that they are usually very prompt. Your food is served during the show, so you can eat and enjoy the entertainment. I highly recommend arriving at least 30-40 minutes before the show begins. Once you arrive you will line up and wait to be seated. Another thing you will want to consider is leaving yourselves enough time for transportation. If you are using the Complimentary Resort Transportation, it is recommended that you plan for approximately an hour to an hour and a half to get from place to place. If you are not staying at a resort with a monorail, I have found the easiest way to get to the luau is to take a bus to Magic Kingdom Park and then take the monorail to Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort.

I hope you and your ‘Ohana have a wonderful experience! Mahalo!
