Hi all! I have a res at Hollywood & vine at 830AM. I understand there's characters there. My fiance and I have no kids. My fiance feels it might be wierd with the characters there. What happens at a character meal? Do they sit next to you while you eat

    Hi Alana!

The characters will come by your table for photographs and autographs.  However, you can easily just wave them off.  They're good at seeing a table with just adults and not interacting too much.

That said, I have to admit I'm not a fan of eating without children at Hollywood & Vine in Disney's Hollywood Studios for breakfast and lunch.  I think that's because the specific characters there are geared toward younger children and I don't have an emotional attachment to them.  However, I have no problems dining at Chef Mickey or in Cape May Cafe without any kids.  In fact, I have no problems with dining in those places solo!  That's because I love those characters and while I may no longer collect autographs, I still like posing with the characters for photographs!

My recommendation would be to find a place that has characters that your fiance might be interested in "meeting" (posing with for a picture).  Good luck with your decision and write back if you have any more questions!
