Have res. for Dec 2-4 at WL, we have woods view bunks. Should I request a specific area? We are trying to catch Christmas parade taping, any tips? We are also celebrating our anniversary. One more, do the boats go from resort to resort or just to park? THX

    Hi Jennifer!

Wow!  The Holiday season AND an anniversary at the Wilderness Lodge - does it get any better???   The woods view rooms are gorgeous and you are practically guaranteed to see a bunny or two from your room!  I did a little research and it looks like the even numbered rooms 5004 to 5030 and 6004 to 6030 offer gorgeous woodland views, with the Magic Kingdom beyond that.  Of course, the trees are so tall that you can't see the park; however, the view is still beautiful!

The exact dates for the Christmas parade taping are not known, but it is typically filmed during the first week of December.  Guests that would like to view the taping must email and fill out a form which must then be sent back and guests are picked on a first come, first served basis.  There is no age limit, but participants must commit to a four hour time block and some shifts begin as early as 7:30 AM.  I wish you the best of luck in being chosen!

Transportation to and from the Wilderness Lodge is by bus to Epcot, Animal Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, the waterparks and Downtown Disney.  The Magic Kingdom is accessed by a boat - you can actually roll your stroller right onto the boat!  To reach other resorts, you must transfer at a park and hop on the bus or monorail heading to the resort of your choice.

Happy anniversary, Happy Holidays and well, happy everything!!!!

    Much pixie dust,
