Hi, Heather! Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
It sounds like you have a wonderful evening planned! In my opinion, the
Pirates & Pals Fireworks Dessert Voyage is most definitely worth the money, and I do not think you'll have a problem arriving on time for this event after your dinner reservation.
Your reservation at 5:25 p.m. should give you plenty of time to relax and enjoy the Mediterranean-inspired cuisine at
Citricos. Just be sure to save some room for the yummy desserts that will be served before you embark on your pirate voyage. Once you are finished with your dinner, you can hop on the
monorail for a quick ride from
Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa to
Disney's Contemporary Resort. I think if you allow yourself 30 minutes to travel between the two resorts, that should be more than enough time.
Using your
My Disney Experience mobile app, be sure to double check the show time for the
Happily Ever After Fireworks. The Pirates & Pals Fireworks Dessert Voyage begins one hour and 15 minutes prior to the scheduled fireworks time, and you should arrive at the lobby of Disney's Contemporary Resort 10 minutes prior to the start of the event. Once the event begins, you and your pirate crew will be treated to a delicious spread of snacks and have the opportunity to visit with some pirate friends. You will then board your ship and head out on a pirate adventure that culminates with a spectacular fireworks display.
I am sure you will love your dinner at Citricos, but since you mentioned that you were hoping to make a reservation at
Cinderella's Royal Table, I would recommend you keep trying. Lots of guests change their plans, so you never know when a reservation time might become available. If your family was hoping to dine with Disney royalty, you may also want to look into
Akershus Royal Banquet Hall or the
Bon Voyage Adventure Breakfast at Trattoria al Forno. These are both great
character dining experiences featuring the Disney Princesses.
Have a magical day!
Samantha
