In 2023 there was a requirement to pre-book access to theme parks (Covid). Does this pre-book requirement still exist. I have already bought the necessary tickets

    Hi Peter!

Thanks for stopping by with a great question!  Your visit to Walt Disney World Resort will be here before you know it and summer promises to be full of excitement!  While we don't have an opening date just yet for Tiana's Bayou Adventure, a recent announcement on the Disney Parks Blog promises a summer 2024 reveal!  Hopefully, you'll get a chance to experience this new attraction on your visit!

Peter, as of January 9, 2024, theme park reservations are no longer required for guests with date-based tickets.  If you purchased date-based tickets either separately or as part of a vacation package, this gives you the flexibility to decide which park you want to attend when you wake up in the morning without having to lock in your plans before your arrival!  When visiting the parks, I recommend purchasing Disney Genie+ service to make the most of your time.   With Genie+, you'll be able to reserve Lightning Lane entrances for popular rides and attractions, allowing you to spend less time waiting in lines!

While you may not have to worry about theme park reservations, you'll want to remember that you can start making advanced dining reservations 60 days before your arrival.  There is a new feature that was just released today which allows you to search for all dining reservations at a particular restaurant for a selected date range.  This should make it even easier to find those hard-to-get reservations!  When planning your dining, I don't think any trip to Walt Disney World Resort is complete without at least one character meal.  Whether you want to dine with Mickey and friends or royalty such as princesses, there are character dining options for everyone to enjoy!  One of my favorite character dining experiences is Garden Grill Restaurant at EPCOT.  This meal is served "family style" so you can relax and enjoy your meal and character experience while taking in the views of the Living with the Land attraction located beneath the restaurant.

Peter, I hope this is helpful as you continue to plan for your upcoming vacation!  Please know you are always welcome to be our guest here at planDisney and we hope you stop by to see us again with any other questions you have in the future!

    Cheers,
    Kristi
