Are you required to purchase a meal at character dining? I was only able to snag a later lunch reservation (12/18 330) at Arkershus and not to excited about the menu for myself.

    Hi Lisette!

Thanks for coming by to see us at the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Akershus Royal Banquet Hall is such a fun Character dining experience in Epcot's World Showcase. It's so much fun to enjoy lunch while you are getting to meet with some of your favorite Disney Princesses. My family and I have enjoyed this restaurant several times and we love being able to enjoy the "Taste of Norway" buffet in addition to an entree and dessert while visiting the sweet Princesses.

When enjoying Character dining, all Guests who will be attending the meal who are 3 years old and over will be charged for their meal becuase you are enjoying the entire Character dining experience in addition to your meal. If you are trying to select an option on the menu, I really liked the Tradisjonell Kjøttkake when we had lunch at Akershus Royal Banquet Hall, which is a traditional plate of Norwegian meatballs and mashed potatoes. Also, the here are quite a few options on the "Taste of Norway" buffet options that you may enjoy, such as a variety of salads and fresh fruits.

Be sure to have your camera and autograph books ready as you will make quite a few memories during your lunch with the Disney Princesses! Let us know if you have any questions as you continue planning. T-T-F-N, ta ta for now!
