I have requested a standard bunk bed room at Animal Kingdom Lodge. The bunk bed room could not be guaranteed. If we are given a room with two queen sized beds, is there any way we could have a roll away bed? Our kids are teenagers and cannot share a bed.

    Hello Amanda!

Thanks so much for writing!  My boys and I are currently packing for a trip that includes a stay at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge next week!  For your convenience, a limited number of roll away beds are available at most Disney Resorts.  I recommend ensuring that you make your request in advance by calling 407-939-2273 and speaking with a Vacation Planning Expert.  By doing this, your request will be noted in your reservation.  When you arrive at the Lodge, I recommend making the request again in the event you are not able to secure a room with bunk beds.  In my experience, Amanda, the Cast Members at the front desk will do everything they possibly can to accommodate you.

I am very much looking forward to taking a Starlight Safari with my teen boys during our stay.  During this after dark immersive safari experience, you don night vision devices and have an incredible opportunity to explore the savanna in the dark.  For the first time in a long time, my boys characterized me as "cool" when I told them I had booked this special experience.  Write back soon and I'll let you know how it was!

    Have a magical trip!
