Hi Susan!
Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
It sounds like not only you but also your best four-legged friend is in for a treat (pun intended) during your upcoming stay at the Walt Disney World Resort. Four of the Walt Disney World Resort hotels are now
dog-friendly. Each guest room that is designated as dog-friendly will have easy access to pet walkways for exercise and pet relief areas. It is important to note that dogs will need to be leashed in public resort areas as well as be up to date on vaccinations. Only service dogs are permitted in theme parks, water parks, or shared areas such as restaurants, pools, and recreational spaces.
Conversely, the Walt Disney World Resort will also guarantee that if you request to stay outside of the
designated dog-friendly areas, your request will be guaranteed. This is important for guests like me as I have a child with a severe dog allergy.
If you are looking for something to do with your pet while you experience the magic and unique offerings such as the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival, consider making a reservation at
Best Friends Pet Care. You can sign your fur baby up for Day Care or Overnight Accommodations.
It sounds like you have done everything that you can to make your request to stay in a pet-friendly room at
Disney’s Yacht Club Resort and
The Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort. Now sit back, relax, and let Disney take care of the rest!
