Ahoy, Roberto!
Welcome aboard planDisney! Dining is one of my absolute favorite parts of a Disney cruise—honestly, my family plans our days around what we just ate and what we’re about to eat—so I completely understand wanting to make sure you won’t miss out on the full culinary adventure. With your cruise only days away, we’re definitely in “pre-sail excitement” mode, so let’s get you ready for smooth seas and delicious meals.
While I may not know exactly which ship you’re boarding, my hunch says you’re preparing to step
aboard the Disney Treasure. And if that’s the case, you’re in for some truly incredible dining storytelling—because on this ship, dinner isn’t just a meal; it’s closer to a scene change in a Disney production.
Although I don’t personally have much experience with halal offerings onboard, I do have years of experience with Disney Cruise Line’s dining teams, and these folks take Guest needs as seriously as Remy takes seasoning. They won’t just hand you “the standard alternative” and walk away—they’ll work with you to create meals that match both your preferences and your dietary requirements to the best of their ability.
Once you board, your best first stop is the Onboard Dining Session, which you’ll find listed in the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app. On the Treasure, this meeting usually takes place in the Triton Lounge from noon to 3 PM on embarkation day, though the exact details will appear in the Navigator app. This is your golden opportunity to meet with the Head Server—think of them as the Fairy Godparent of the dining team, but with more clipboards and fewer pumpkins—and talk through exactly what you’re hoping for. Your dining rotation will be reviewed, and they’ll ensure every restaurant is prepared for your needs in advance.
As for
Mickey & Friends Festival of Foods on the pool deck, my family always makes a beeline for Donald’s Cantina the moment we board—it’s practically a tradition at this point. Just keep in mind that the quick-service spots operate with smaller kitchens and fixed menus, so they usually can’t customize dishes to meet specific dietary needs. If you
want the most flexibility and the best halal-friendly experience, the main dining rooms are absolutely where the culinary magic happens.
I hope this helps you feel much more confident heading into your cruise—and reassured that even with dietary requirements, you won’t miss out on the imaginative menus and storytelling that make dining on the Treasure feel like stepping into a brand-new chapter every night. Your dining team will be ready to work with you, champion your requests, and make sure your meals are as magical as the ship itself.
Sea ya real soon as the tides turn toward thankful hearts and joyful journeys,
Dustin
