Hi Andrew!
From a fellow Disney Vacation Club Member
and a fellow Buckeye, welcome to planDisney! If you ask me, one of the best parts of being a Disney Vacation Club Member is the flexibility we have to use our Vacation Points in so many ways –– from relaxing at Disney Resorts worldwide to setting sail with
Disney Cruise Line, and even
blasting off to a faraway galaxy. I'm excited to hear that you're planning to use Points for an upcoming
Concierge Collection stay and I'm happy to share some details that can help as you move through the booking process.
Since you mentioned making the request after your banking window closed, I think you're referring to the
Rule of Four, which doesn't allow you to book and stay on a
Concierge Collection reservation during the last four months of your Use Year. Because of that, I'm assuming your travel date is during your upcoming Use Year and you've already banked the 41 Points from this year (if you haven't, those Points can no longer be banked and will expire at the end of the current year). I reached out to Member Services to ask about the Points-borrowing process for Concierge Collection reservations and I was told that the Cast Member you spoke with when you made your request should have gotten your approval to borrow those 13 Points at that time. If they didn't, or if more information is needed from you, Member Services will reach out to you once that reservation has been accepted. If you have other questions about your existing Concierge Collection request, your best bet is to give the
Member Services and speak with someone on the Concierge Collection team –– they'll be happy to look up all the details of your request and answer any questions.
I hope this helped to answer your questions and I appreciate you visiting planDisney, Andrew. If you think of more questions about Disney Vacation Club or any part of the Disney vacation-planning process, please feel free to stop by again –– we're always here to help!
Have a Magical Day,
Amy
