Hi Margaret, thanks for bringing this great question to planDisney!
Disability Access Service (DAS) is a wonderful service intended for Guests who have difficulty tolerating wait times in a standard queue environment due to a disability. DAS allows Guests to request a return time for an attraction or experience that is comparable to the current standby wait time. Guests utilizing DAS can then relax or enjoy other experiences in the park instead of physically waiting in the standard queue.
Eligible Guests have the option to
register prior to their arrival via a live chat video 2-30 days prior to their first park visit. Before doing so, please make sure your entire travel party is included on your
Family & Friends list so they can be included in the DAS plans. Additionally, each member of your travel party will need to have a valid theme park admission and theme park reservation. (Please note beginning January 9, 2024, theme park reservations will no longer be required for date-based tickets).
When you are ready to start the video chat, you will first need to agree to the
Terms and Conditions. Next, you will click the "Request Live Video Chat" button to be placed in the queue to speak with a cast member. If you are requesting DAS on behalf of someone else, that person will need to be on the video chat with you. I'd like to warn you that the wait time can be extensive due to the volume of live video chat requests so some Guests prefer to register in person when they first enter a theme park. Guests who pre-register and are approved for DAS are eligible to
pre-select up to 2 one-hour return windows for select experiences (subject to availability).
Margaret, I hope you find this information helpful. Please let us know if there are further questions we can assist you with.
