Hi Kim! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
When it comes to resort hotels and rooms at the Walt Disney World Resort, there are so many options to choose from. Each resort hotel offers different (for lack of a better word) categories or views for the rooms. For instance if you are going to stay at
Disney’s Contemporary Resort you could book a Theme Park view or just a standard Garden view.
When I stay at resort hotels, I always am aware of what is most important to my family in terms of location. We like to stay close to the food areas and also the transportation area. So when we stay at Disney’s Pop Century Resort, we always request a Preferred Room.
If I want something more specific, say the 60’s building at
Disney’s Pop Century Resort; I usually
contact the Walt Disney World Resort Reservation line to have them put a note on my reservation with my request. If you are participating in
Online Check-In, if my memory is correct there may be an area for special requests that you can fill out. Please remember that if you do make a specific request, Disney does its absolute best to fulfill that request but there is never a guarantee that your request can be accommodated. If you arrive at your resort hotel I recommend asking a cast member at the front desk if you are hoping to get a special request fulfilled. I have found that a lot of times they have been incredibly helpful!
I hope that I have helped to answer your question. Please feel free to come back any time so we can help make your Disney dreams come true!
